Prayer Resources

One of the most integral parts of the Will You Grow? program is prayer. We encourage you to pray daily for the program and for Blair Road United Methodist Church. But mostly importantly, we encourage you to pray for growth in your relationship with God. As we grow closer to Christ, we become more like Him – living a life of servant leadership and giving more of ourselves and our resources to the betterment of His kingdom.

Click on the links below for resources to help you with your daily prayers. We hope they encourage you, lift you up and bring you closer to God.

Prayer Vigil

Commitment Sunday is November 15. To help us consider our individual growth as well as what God’s plan is for BRUMC, the Will You Grow? Prayer Team is holding an 18-hour Prayer Vigil on Saturday, November 14. You have the opportunity to commit to pray for 15-minute intervals throughout the day and evening. Our goal is to have 100% participation. This is such an important part of the program! Please click here for details on the vigil.  To sign up for your time slots, call the church office, 704-545-6785, or send an email to  admin@blairroadumc.org.

Hebrews 6:1:

Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God.

2 Peter 3:18:

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

2 Peter 1:3-8:

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness,
